Sunnies Australia is an Australian-owned sunglasses brand focused on making stylish, practical eyewear accessible to everyone. We design and curate everyday sunglasses with 100% UV protection, fair pricing, and no unnecessary mark-ups because good eye protection shouldn’t be exclusive.
The Simple Idea
Our journey began in 2015
Sunnies.com.au began with one clear thought: great sunglasses shouldn’t cost a fortune. We were tired of seeing people pick between overpriced designer frames or cheap knock-offs that never lasted. So we started building a range that offered real style, real quality and real value – no nonsense, no inflated markups, just great sunnies for everyday Australians.
A perfect fit for your every day life
Growing a Range, Finding Our People
Word spread faster than we expected. Customers loved having styles for every face shape, every outfit and every budget, so we kept adding more. Aviators, fitovers, sports frames, clip-ons, kids’ sunnies – if someone wanted it, we found a way to make it happen. Orders started rolling in from all over the country, and our little idea suddenly felt like something much bigger.
Scaling Up
10,000+ Customers and Counting
By the halfway point of our journey, more than 10,000 sunshine-loving legends had joined us. We weren’t a tiny shop anymore – we were a fast-growing Aussie brand with a loyal customer base, repeat buyers and an ever-expanding range. We were packing orders late at night, juggling new collections, and having a blast doing it.
Growing Through Partnerships
Wholesale, Retailers & Private Label
Around this time, something unexpected happened. Retailers started knocking on our door. They wanted our sunglasses in their stores, and some even wanted us to create private-label lines just for them. Suddenly, we were designing collections for big brands, shipping wholesale cartons and helping businesses all over Australia offer better-quality sunnies at better prices. It was wild – and we loved every minute of it.
Heading to the Islands
Sending Sunnies Everywhere
Shipping orders across Australia was fun, but shipping to far-flung places became even better. We’ve now posted sunnies to Bali, Tokyo, New York, Dubai, Auckland, the UK, Canada and even a few tiny islands we had to Google. Wherever the sun shines, a pair of our sunnies isn’t far behind.

We’ve got one of the largest sunglasses ranges in Australia, an amazing community of customers and a team that genuinely enjoys what we do. We’re still playful, still creative and still guided by the original idea: stylish sunglasses should be accessible to everyone.
